Method
My design approach combines future-proof digital solutions with the principles of traditional analogue design. Trained in graphic design and with extensive website coding experience, I also practice and teach traditional letterpress printmaking. As a result, I have a keen eye for typographic solutions and a versatile and distinctive aesthetic that helps ensure my clients’ products and services will stand out in a competitive and increasingly digital age.
Whether working with individual clients looking to get a new company off the ground, or with established organisations seeking greater impact for their brands, I favour a face-to-face approach throughout the design process. From the initial meetings about a project, through the design and coding stages, and beyond the launch into aftercare and ongoing project support, my clients always know that they will be able to talk to me directly, whether face-to-face in my Central London studio or on-site at their headquarters.
Much more than a logo alone, effective branding is evident in the typography, colour palette and design language used across your company’s projects. Your branding should reflect the aims of your company and appeal to your target market, taking in many aspects of design. I can help you develop a striking brand identity tailored to work across all your communications, from printed materials to websites, email marketing and other digital channels.

The first thing most people do now on hearing about a new product, company or person will be to search for them online so it’s more important than ever to have a good online presence. Depending on the needs of the client I can design, code and maintain online stores, creative portfolios and company websites and recommend whether to use a content management system such as WordPress or Shopify. I do all aspects of the design and coding in-house and am skilled in front-end (CSS, HTML, Javascript) and back end coding (PHP, Liquid). I also have an array of contacts that I can bring into the project if additional resources are required, including photographers, illustrators and programmers.
A well-designed piece of printed matter can make the perfect first impression on a prospective client or customer. From the smallest of print jobs, like business cards and one-off promotional materials, right up to large periodicals and complex bespoke pieces, I will give all of your projects the same level of care and attention. As well as handling the design process, from initial concepts through to final delivery, I can recommend the most suitable print techniques, paper types and printers to meet your your requirements.
About
I am a full-time freelance designer working out of my Central London studio, easily accessible from Angel, Old Street and Barbican stations. Aesthetically, I love mid-century American, British and Swiss Modernism for their bold focus on content and their use of colour and texture. In addition to my graphic design work I am a printmaker (letterpress, screen print and collage) and teacher of letterpress at the London Centre for Book Arts. I love learning new print techniques, developing my craft and allowing my skills in printmaking to further inform and inspire my design work for clients.
My printmaking portfolio can been seen at a separate website – DeadMethods.com
I am also one part of the graphic design print collective ‘The Art is Proof Press’, which for the last seven years has been putting on exhibitions of print-based works across the UK, as well as teaching screen printing workshops at small press events.
